So...

There really is no excuse except that apparently once you start working full-time, people actually expect you to do stuff... like actual work.  I know. It's weird.  But it has been quite an adjustment.  And on the upside, I now have a laptop.

And a renewed commitment to actually writing something.



I have yet to read the last book.  This may be due to the fact that I have yet to buy the last book.

Computer crashed a couple of days ago. And I just found out that I will be unable to salvage ANYTHING.

This totally sets me back with pretty much everything. And that includes the next installment of FAY as well as the makings of a few other fics.

Damn. Only a chocolate milkshake will save me now.

Notes: Okay, now I know why I found it nauseating. It's easy to get lost in the transition. And I think this would have done much better had it been a chaptered fic instead of a one shot. But eh... who cares? And, as always, this fic is unedited and unbeta-ed. Who cares? :D

Oh, and it's not very Christmas-y. Well, a tiny bit, maybe. And forgive me if it isn't completely D/Hr-centric. But I love dealing with Post-HBP. It's the new Post-Hogwarts :]

Quick update:

The latest chapter of FAY should be finished before I leave for a week on the 27th and after I finish the Christmas fic.

Thing is... the Christmas fic is currently at 18 pages and I'm not sure if I'm stopping any time soon. I mean, I want to, except for some reason I just keep on going.

This may be due to my inability to write actual, serious smut.

Usually, when I write R-rated fics it's all rather abstract. The stylistic way with which I write R-rated fics forbids me to actually say cock and fucking but rather milder terms such as breast and thrusting. However, given that Falling After You wasn't written in this manner, I was wondering how far one can actually push the R rating...

Because, yeah, it's going to be that kind of chapter... and upon checking, the longest chapter yet.

Any tips to keep in mind when writing R-rated fics? Salamat! :]

Yes, updating again as I'm making the most of the bit of reprieve I have from uni. :]

I'm proud to say that I'm half-way done with the next chapter of Falling After You... I think the last chapter pretty much solidified the direction that the fic is going that there isn't much space left for second-guessing myself. Also, I'm pleased with how this chapter is turning out, so I doubt any major revisions will strike me into updating after half a year yet again.

And while I'd love to offer a cookie as to what the next chapter holds (as the damnable thing had me in tears as I was typing earlier)--I think the effect is better when read as a whole.

I shall, however, offer up the short... Draco soliloquy (? really haven't a clue as to what to call it) that made me laugh. It's everso... Draco.



You know how when you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the loo?

And you start feeling your way through the dark because you can’t be arsed to open the lamp even though it’s an arms-length away from your bed?

And then when you go inside the loo, you open the lights there and you blink a lot to get used to all the brightness?

You open the lights because you just might start pissing in your hand and messing your aim completely... and yet in the end, you still take a piss with your eyes closed.

I am trying very hard not to spoil anything, but I seriously had not planned on ending the chapter the way it did. But once it was there, it just felt so right :] Hope it is up to par!

Shall be updating Falling After You within the next twenty-four hours. :]

A few things:

1) I won't make any promises regarding the new chapter of FAY because I've begun rewriting it for the third time again. I haven't completely forgotten it, though.

2) I'm actually writing another Christmas fic. I know it's probably a little early, but you know how I am with deadlines. And yes. Another Christmas fic. I love Christmas. And it's all about my quest in redeeming Draco. :]

3) This fic here--should you choose to read it--is incomplete. Actually, I already uploaded this portion on this LJ May of last year (eep...) only I had it on private which is why no one was able to read it. Hopefully the other half may be made available soon... Because believe it or not, I hate that my fics are unfinished just as much as the reviewers who insist that I update. :]

I've just noticed that I am out of loop with D/Hr fanfiction. Yes, it took me long enough to notice but in all honesty, I haven't read a fic since December of last year. This isn't really any cause for worry, I don't think. However, while writing the next chapter to Falling After You, I was suddenly assailed with thoughts that I've ventured into cliché territory. Suffice to say, I would not like to be in that place. But who knows what has been done since I was away?

A cookie (crumb would be more appropriate, methinks) of the next chapter:

“You know how in Hogwarts everyone accused me of being a know-it-all and being bossy... and what else was it you all called me?”

The question was blatantly rhetorical.

Perfectionist, uptight, officious? He smiled. Really, he had no control over his mind sometimes.

Thankfully, Hermione didn’t notice. No, she looked downright grim. Perhaps, this whole ‘predicament’ wasn’t entirely groundless.
